She's 19, talented, pretty andhaving been discovered by the same guy who brought us Jamie Cullumvery possibly on the road to stardom. Philly native Catherine Tuttle, who divides her time between gigs and classes at Harvard (where she's a freshman), is kicking up some buzz with What They Will Find (Candid/Zone 7), her second CD. (The first, Peel, was released when she was all of 16.) "I tried to make it a rich soundscape so each track would offer something new and interesting," Tuttle says by phone. "I think we pulled it off pretty well." The affable pianist/guitarist/bassist/actress/painter was discovered by producer Alan Bates after she posted her music on the Web. A visit to London and a record contract soon followed. Onstage, Tuttle focuses on her own songs, but she'll undoubtedly tackle a cover or two, like her slowed-down, pleading version of the Fontella Bass classic "Rescue Me."
